41. DNUG conference - here we go!

Monday, November 10, 2014 at 6:17 PM UTC

For the next two days I will be in Leipzig, Saxony, Germany attending the DNUG conference. This is Germany's user group conference event for collaboration solutions namely from IBM but also for other vendors such as Microsoft and business partner solutions. The conference takes place twice a year. I attended 2 other DNUGs before (Fulda and Berlin) and I enjoyed it very much. I got the chance to meet people in real life which I only know from community platforms and social networks, so it is also much fun besides interestings sessions and tracks.

This year I was asked if I want to do the track management for the development track (with a second co-worker) and of course I agreed. I'd like to say thanks to all those experts that will be speaking. Some of them I invited because I wanted to meet them in person - but of course to hear and see what they have to present in various topics. It was a lot of work but also a lot of fun - more to come soon!

Two of my colleagues will also provide a session about modern application architecture in a heterogeneous and highly scalable environment - with Domino and XPages, JEE and MS SQL - great stuff!

Especially I am really happy to have Christian Güdemann with us because he is very busy and has to take off early on Wednesday as he also will attend at SNoUG on at the end of the week. But I'm also looking forward to meet other "big names" such as Oli Heinz, Ben Menesi, Ulrich Krause and Christoph Stoettner

It's not too late to join us - the conference starts on Nov. 11th, 9:30am with the keynote from IBM - sessions will start after lunch at 1:00pm.
